Personally, I'd classify myself somewhere between a D and a C player. I play with a couple of guys at least once a week and try to read as much about racquetball as possible. I'm hoping to eventually be a B player.

I'm a professional tennis coach but I play both racquetball and squash on a regular basis. I'm a 4.0-4.5 in squash and probably the same in racquetball but as I mentioned I'm a pro in tennis.

Racquetball is a very good cardio workout but if you're looking to build strength in your arms and stomach muscles then tennis would be the way to go.

Wow, lots of questions - I'll answer what I can (I am not sure what some of the questions mean)

1 - a hindrance is basically a do-over because the person that just hit the ball hinders the opponents ability to hit the ball by being in the way or even a "sight hinder" - blocks the ability to see the ball

2 - a z-serve is one where the server serves from one side of the court across the court to the corner (hitting the front first of course) and then the ball angles back making a z

3 - as far as "out" goes - it would be the person that hit the ball causing it to go out

4 - a serve should hit the front wall and travel past the serving box and then hit the floor before hitting the back wall (since you do not have a back wall - before going out)

good luck and enjoy - I hope I understood your questions - just get a rule book if there is any doubt

Ask someone who runs a bowling alley. They have to oil the lanes and that's easily as slippery as armorall on a gym floor. They know how to strip the lanes of oil to re-oil them. Whatever they use on the lanes should probably work on Armorall.

Good luck.

I love racquetball, but I haven't played in 10 years. You have to have access to a public facility (extremely rare), or be loaded. I'm sure if the sport was as easy to access as say basketball, baseball, soccer or even tennis, more people would try it and love it.

Hey Moms! Hey Kids! Want to go in a small room with no windows? Want to get hit in the back by a speeding hard rubber ball? If you answered yes, then indoor racquetball is for you! Don't worry, those bruises will go away in a few weeks.
