Racquetball: Is it still a hinder if the defensive player is not in the line of the ball?

Usually I make a drop shot and my opponent is simply out of position, though I am no where near the line of the ball and he calls it hinder as going though me is the fastest way to the ball
Well I think he can easily go around me as I am far from the ball but based on his position the quickest way is through me. I can understand ‘Hinder’ if I am in the line of the ball or close to ball to restrict his movement. He is in the back corner or near about, I am in the middle and the ball is in front corner opposite to him.

After taking my shot, I have returned to middle court (which he didn’t) and am well away from the line of the ball. He can easily go around yet he likes to go through and call it hinder everytime

  1. Brandon L Said,

well if he bumps u or hits u with the racket then it would be called a hinder but if he doesnt make a run or try to get it u can just call him on it

and if its possible for him to hit it off the back wall then its not a hinder
